Proof Gives Back

Here's a little update...

In an effort to be adaptive in the ways that Proof gives back, we have decided that while we wait for international travel to be safe again, we partner with Eden Reforestation to plant five trees for every frame sold.

Information on Eden Reforestation Projects:

Eden takes a holistic approach to reforestation and ecological restoration. They partner with villages committed to restoring their forest, and then hire and train locals to plant new trees. The reforestation provides the villagers with consistent income that helps them provide for their families. The villagers protect their new forests because they have a vested interest in them, and as a result, the seedling survival rate is an astounding 80%. When natural generation is factored in, the rate is even higher. Only native trees are ever planted.

Trees pledged through Verdn are planted in either Madagascar, Mozambique or Kenya. In the beginning, we are exclusively planting mangrove trees along coastal ecosystems.

What about the international trips?

The safety of our employees, participants and most importantly community members of our destinations is most important. We are planning to reevaluate the situation soon, so in the meantime we are beyond excited to announce this new partnership.
