Healthy Eye Care Fit Optical is working to become a staple how vision care should be done. People need education about what the eye does and how the brain and body function with it, we do that the second somebody walks through the door. When people come in they also notice that we are green motivated and a essentially paperless practice. We even have metal Dixie cups to reduce waist.
1. How long have you been in business?
We are coming up on our fifth month.
2. Number of locations?
We have our one location that is located in Phoenix, Arizona.
3. Give us a quick history about your store.
Started this year in 2015. I, Dr. Zahra Lalwani Lasee, wanted to start a green motivated optometry practice that did not compromise patient's health in any regard. I love educating about vision, keeping only the best technology available, and selling stylish frames with only top-quality lenses. The attention to detail is something that people typically don't experience when they go to the eye doctor and that's what we pride ourselves on.
4. Give us one mind blowing fact about your shop.
Preventative analysis and management is mind blowing at this practice. As a doctor, I pride myself on doing vitamins first then drugs then surgical therapy in that order. I don't know very many optical shops that pride themselves on preventive analysis of health although keeping a green motivated agenda. For example we do genetic testing for macular degeneration and have vitamins associated with each genetic marker. Dry eye therapy is mainly vitamin based, and we do free eye exams for children under the age of one. Blue light filter in anti reflective coating is given to everybody who works on the computer for majority of the day to prevent retinal disease.
5. What are your most popular items?
Proof eyewear, and Europa. People like the stylish feel without it being a huge strain on their budget.
6. Where can we find you on your lunch break?
Lunch break?! I get one?! Being a new practice I take patients at lunch if it's more convenient for them. But when I have a chance to grab a bite I sit with my employees to chat about life.
7. What song best describes your shop?
Odesa bloom. A great beat with a modern twist lyrics only say we do this "for you".
8. Who’s your employee of the month? Why?
Emily Ann Paulsen. She works hard without needing anything more in return. A simple hard days work is enough and she always has a great attitude and smile on her face.
9. What’s your spirit animal?
A beaver because it works quietly without creating too much drama and ends up being the backbone of an ecosystem.
10. Why is Proof a good fit in your store?
Proof Eyewear is biodegradable it fits people who come to our practice who enjoy the green motivated feel.
