The El Salvador Project
Proof Eyewear and HELP International teamed up to serve the communities of El Salvador in Central America. The project started with the design of special edition sunglasses with limited quantities available for purchase. The colorful print on the wooden frames was inspired by internationally recognized Salvadoran artist, Fernando Llort Choussy. The Nepal Project
After the first earthquake hit, we wanted to act quickly to raise funds for disaster relief and rebuilding efforts in the Himalayan nation. On May 1st & 2nd, 100% of all online sales at iwantproof.com was donated to HELP International who had already started organizing aid for the devastation faced. Our customers came together from around the globe to support the relief efforts in Nepal. The India Project
One out of every three blind people in the world lives in India; this shocking figure is denoted to poor socio-economic development and an inefficient eye care service in the country. About 80%-90% of the blindness is either curable or preventable. Through the purchases of India Project Sunglasses, Proof was able to donate $25,000 to Aravind Eye Care Systems that in turn built two eye clinics in Pathamadai & Vadamadurai India. Both eye clinics still service the Indian population through cost and time efficient cataracts surgeries. These surgeries drastically change the life trajectory of thousands each year.
