We are proud to announce the opening of a second eye care clinic in our partnership with Aravind. Aravind's mission to put an end to unnecessary blindness in India is only getting stronger. Today Aravind operates 43 clinics in India, two of which are in conjunction with us. We opened our second clinic in Vadamaduai in Dindigul district in India, a small town with a population of 25,000 residents. This new center will serve more than 50,000 individuals from the surrounding areas.
With all costs for eye care services taken care of by the Aravid foundation and ourselves, on the day of inauguration the new clinic examined 38 patients who were provided with everything from glasses to corrective surgery.
Proof Founder, Brooks Dame shared the following insight on Proof’s second Clinic to open this year. “Opening our first clinic in India was a dream come true for Proof. When I started Proof in my garage 3 years ago we said we’d give back to others, we just had no idea that we’d ever be involved in the opening of one, let alone two eye clinics on the other side of the world. These clinics are the result of a great partnership with Aravind, a lot of hustle from our team and the support of our customers. It’s amazing to us that by making a small purchase from Proof our customers are providing the gift of sight to those most in need. It is truly an incredible movement.
