Idaho Eyewear Company Now Offering Handcrafted and Sustainable Line of Wood Wallets and Pocket Knives
Idaho, Boise (November 20, 2014) — Proof Eyewear announced today that they are expanding into accessories with a new line of handcrafted wood wallets and pocket knives this holiday season. The entire collection utilizes Proof’s signature style and minimalist design to create one-of-a-kind pieces made from high-quality and sustainable woods. Available now at www.iwantproof.com, all wallets and pocket knives have an MRSP of $25.00 and under. Known as a company that’s dedicated to doing good, Proof will give a percentage of each sale of the new collection to their own Do Good Program that donates charitable funds on a project-by-project basis. Proof’s past projects have included building two eye clinics in India that service over ¼ of the world’s blind population.
After a successful Kickstarter campaign this fall, the eyewear company is bringing their entire new wood wallet collection to consumers this holiday season. Originally seeing success when they launched The Slab Wallet in 2012, they have now perfected it with The Slab 2.0, which is now built with Bass Wood making it 20% stronger than the original and featuring a silicone band to allow more stretch.
“What makes our new collection of wallets unique is the simple wood design crafted for ease and security. No need to fuss with zippers, clasps, snaps or extra pockets where you can lose stuff,” said Tanner Dame, Proof’s COO and General Manager. “We are also offering four different looks to fit our variety of customers’ styles and needs.”
Inspired by vintage cigarette holders, The Flip is good for guys looking to hold more than just loose bills and cards in their wallet. The magnetic top and fabric hinge ensures their valuables won’t fall out while allowing them to put more in their wallet like business cards and loose change.
The Block and Arch wallets have a bolder look that boast security with a curved design that protects valuables from falling out. Made with beautiful Zebra Wood that gives the surface stripes, The Block is rugged yet slightly eccentric while The Arch’s unique Pine Wood shape comfortably arches to your leg to save space and create strength while keeping everything secure.
The new Woodsman Knife collection features two types of incredibly durable pocket knives made with different woods. The minimalist Single Blade features a classic brown-stained Pakka wood grain and metal handle with a 2.5 inch blade. While Proof’s own twist on the Swiss Army Knife offers both ends of the style spectrum; for the more traditional man, the Walnut Knife has a woodsy look appropriately featuring a handle crafted with classic Walnut Wood. For a change of pace, the Pakka Knife is a colorful modern twist using engineered Pakka wood.
