Boise, Idaho – Proof Eyewear is releasing The Philippines Project Sunglasses on Tuesday, December 15th to benefit the project set for February 2016. Volunteers, including Proof employees, will assist in initiatives to support the communities and people of the Philippines. These volunteers will execute projects related to economic development, education, visual health, reforestation, and empowerment of vulnerable populations. The project will run from February 5th through February 14th.

“We’ve spent months working on this project, and we’re thrilled to give our customers a chance to share the ‘Do Good’ mentality this Christmas season. This is our fourth Do Good Project where our team is able to actually see the lasting differences these projects make. We started Proof as an eco-friendly solution to an everyday product, but more importantly to be a socially conscious brand that people feel good about purchasing.” Tanner Dame, COO of Proof Eyewear.

The Philippines Project Sunglasses are handcrafted using repurposed Canadian Maple skateboard decks. The design features Filipino inspired bamboo leaves on each temple with green accents. The frames offer polarized lenses to protect from harmful sunrays as well as spring-loaded hinges that allow for a more comfortable fit no matter the face size.

“This summer, we saw a young Salvadorian girl see for the first time in her life. Watching something like that is life changing, so we’re anxious to get over to the Philippines with HELP International to see what can be accomplished. Our bird logo represents the belief that everyone has the wings to fly but, some just need a little help.” Brooks Dame, Founder & CEO of Proof Eyewear.

The Philippines Project Sunglasses will have an MSRP of $120. For customers wishing to make an impact but looking to spend a little less, a project t-shirt is available for an MSRP of $25. The products will be available for purchase starting December 15th at iwantproof.com.
