This week, we're taking you to one of our favorite retailers, AMAZINGSTORE! They're a shop that sells not just products but a concept. Their product selection revolves around creative items made of wood and other natural materials including watches, sunglasses, ties, bow-ties, bamboo mouses, headphones, speakers, gadgets, alarm wood clocks, magic wallets, bracelets, and some other amazing items. To top it off, each brand that they work with has social awareness and environmental responsibility. Find out more below!
1. How long have you been in business?
Since 2011 online, and 2012 selling directly to the public in several shopping malls, fairs, and events.
2. Number of locations?
Right now we have 2 stores, one in Oeiras in the middle of Lisbon and Cascais - Oeiras Parque shopping mall and in Lisbon in a very cultural place LX Factory, it’s a place in Alcântara that has lots of stores, restaurants, graffiti’s, market, events, where you can find several nationalities. We are having a 3rd store, in the center of Lisbon one of the oldest and prestigious shopping mall, Amoreiras shopping mall.
3. Give us a quick history about your store.
First we start like a creative concept, amazing items and funny stuff for home and for personal use like a terrorist tea pot, submarine tea making, wood postal’s, bottle opener magnet for the fridge and wooden watches. When we realize that we can have also wooden glasses, ties, covers, so we start to build a nice natural concept.
4. Give us one mind blowing fact about your shop.
There are people that go 200km to visit our store.
5. What are your most popular items?
The most popular items are of course Proof glasses, watches, magic speakers, and magic wallets!
6. Where can we find you on your lunch break?
You can find me probably in my car running for one store to the other, eating near our stores, and Lx Factory has some nice places.
7. What song best describes your shop?
We listen to lots of Reggae, Jazz and African music, because for us wood is roots, and roots is Reggae and colourful music. We love happy music, so Damian Marley “Beautiful” or Moonraisers “Rise Up”.
8. Who’s your employee of the month? Why?
The best employee of the month is my wife because she does a lot, she is a good seller, and is an excellent product displayer. All of our stores have her touch of class and her excellent taste.
9. What’s your spirit animal?
Our spiritual animals has to be a Gorilla and a Koala. We have them in our store replicas, of course, because they symbolize our nature of soft and ruff.
10. Why is Proof a good fit in your store?
Proof has a lot of diversity of goodies and glasses. Proof also has the same standards like us, make good do good and is inspired by nature!
