Summer 2014 Intern || Keara Donick
Posted on by Vierra Reid
Keara Donick interned with us for the Summer 2014 semester. She came early, stayed late and went above and beyond anything we could've imagined!
1. How long have you been interning with Proof?
I've been interning with Proof since May - so about 2 fun-filled months.
2. What’s your background/education?
In the fall I'll be entering my senior year at Penn State University, with a major in Public Relations and minors in English and Tourism Management.
3. What’s your title at Proof?
I'm a Public Relations and Marketing Intern.
4. What do you like to do for fun?
I love to bake, I'm a Food Network addict and love trying new recipes. I think baking is good for the soul. So is dessert. I also love to read and do fun arts and crafts and DIY projects, and driving is also something I do for fun. I like to give concerts in my car. This summer my sister has also gotten me into camping and stand-up paddle-boarding on the river.
5. Give us one mind blowing fact about yourself.
I drove to Boise all the way from Pennsylvania for the summer and lot my windshield wiper while driving up a Colorado mountain in a blizzard in the middle of May. It was an adventure to say the least.
6. If you could have celebrity parents who would they be?
Ina Garten and Tom Hanks - no question. Ina would make great food all the time and teach me everything she knows, and Tom Hanks just seems like the type of person you'd want to have for a dad. Plus, have you seen "You've Got Mail"? He's great with kids.
7. Where can we find you on your lunch break?
At Whole Foods people watching and discussing life with Vierra. Also moving my car so I don't get (another) parking ticket.
8. What song best describes you?
Probably "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" by Stevie Wonder. It's my go to for dancing in the kitchen and it's just an all around great song. I'm not sure how exactly it describes me except for the fact that I love to dance in my kitchen so I guess that's how?
9. If you could have any superpower what would it be?
I would want to be able to pause time so I could get more things done. Never enough hours in the day.
10. What’s your spirit animal?
I have a koala onesie that I really like to wear in the winter because it's nice and cozy for that cold Pennsylvania weather, so I'm going to say half koala. The other half - have you seen "Frozen"? Of course you have, everyone has. The snowman? Olaf? Yeah, the other half is definitely him.
11. Where do you see yourself in 20 years?
Living in a house on the beach somewhere on the west coast or in Ireland, with a home library, lots of baking and Christmas lights, married to my best friend with a couple crazy kids running around.
12. Why are you a good fit at Proof?
I think I'm a good fit at Proof because I'll do just about anything they throw at me while still trying to keep it fun and interesting and effective.
