BOISE, ID – Aveda exclusive salon, Bombshell Salon, is celebrating Earth Month by joining thousands of other Aveda locations to raise over $5 million to supply clean water across the world. Bombshell Salon will be holding their “2nd Annual Bombshell Trashion Show” on April 17, 2014 at Humpin’ Hannah’s in downtown Boise. All funds raised at the event will go to Idaho Rivers United to help with the preservation of Idaho’s rivers and lakes.

“We believe that good business is responsible business,” says Danielle Cheatle, owner of Bombshell Salon.  “It is so gratifying to participate in a program like Aveda Earth Month that allows us to participate in a global initiative that directly benefits the community where we live and work.  Social responsibility has been a pillar of the Aveda ethos since the brand’s founding in 1978. Aveda professionals are living proof that beauty and environment are inextricably connected.”

Last year, the Trashion Show raised over $1,000 for Idaho Rivers United and looks to double their efforts this year. This years Trashion Show will feature local artists and designers creating pieces made from 100 percent post consumer materials, and will have the chance to win prizes. There will also be pre-show performances from other local artists, dancer, and musicians, as well as an after party. The event will commence at 7 p.m. at Humpin’ Hannah’s located at 621 W. Main St. in downtown Boise.

Tickets are on-sale now at BombshellTrashionShow.eventbrite.com for a discounted price of $8.75, or at the door the day of the event for $10. For more information regarding the event, or if interested in participating, visit www.BombshellBoise.com or call (208) 921-1005.

Aveda celebrates Earth Month each year by having their exclusive salons hold fundraisers and selling limited candles made from Indian oils that provide six months of clean drinking water to a family of six in India. Aveda’s mission is to care for the world we live in, from the products they make to the ways in which they give back to society, they strive to set an example.
