Like-minded Brands Partner for Subaru WinterFest

At Proof, we stand by the principle of giving back to the earth as well as the people living on it. Each piece of eyewear is hand built in a 15-step process using eco-friendly materials ranging from solid wood, repurposed skateboard decks and plant based acetates. Along with eco-conscious frames, we also make it a point to donate a portion of sales to environmental and humanitarian initiatives such as reforestation in El Salvador and sight giving eye clinics in India where ¼ of the world’s blind population resides. Proof Eyewear’s mantra has always been: Look good. Do good. Subaru believes in celebrating the love of adventure and the experiences made along the way. The Subaru WinterFest is a lifestyle tour stopping at some of the best mountains across the country. Along for the ride are some of the best organizations in the industry such as Nordica and LibTech as well as upcoming brands such as Proof Eyewear. At each location Subaru will be showcasing the all-new XV Crosstrek Hybrid and hosting ski and ride clinics, passing out giveaways, and letting riders test their skills in the Freeride Experience. It’s an adventure for the enthusiast and the whole family. Subaru’s Promotions & Sponsorship Manager, Tim Tagye, talks about the importance of partnering with like-minded brands:
We value the passions and interests of Subaru owners, and Proof is a brand that creates an intersection of practicality, style and eco-friendliness.  We share a similar outlook on all of these attributes, but especially on the environmental side.  At Subaru, all of our vehicles are produced in a zero-landfill facility where 100% of manufacturing waste is either recycled or turned into electricity.  Since May 2004, our manufacturing plants have not sent any waste to landfills.  We value Proof’s dedication to provide original products that are handcrafted from sustainable materials and we feel this fits in with values of our consumers.
