How We Spent Black Friday

Posted on by Vierra Reid

This Black Friday, we kept our headquarters and Flagship Store in downtown Boise closed to enjoy the outdoors. Our COO, Tanner, spent the day with thousands of others enjoying the beautiful sights of Southern Utah:

"From sun up to sun down, we got to explore 10 plus arches formed by mother nature. We also got to catch a once in a lifetime sunset at Dead Horse Point State Park. The weather was about 40 degrees with a pretty brisk wind but the sun helped keep us warm.

We arrived late Thanksgiving evening to Moab and spent the night in a cheap roadside motel and woke up early and to grab food for breakfast and lunch at the local market. We drove a short 3 miles from Moab to the park entrance and headed straight to Delicate Arch to beat the crowds. After a pretty mellow 1.5 mile hike into the arch, we hit the road to Devil's Garden where we saw 4 other arches within a 1 mile hike.

To cap things off, we finished the afternoon by seeing the sites at Windows. We left the park about 3pm and had about 2 hours of daylight still and decided to head to Dead Horse State Park. We caught a once in a lifetime sunset.

It was a little busy with tourists and the weather wasn't 70 and sunny but a day outdoors beats any day in the office or in a crowded shopping mall."
