We want to welcome Barber Town Eye Care to the Proof family! They are new optometry office located in Boise, Idaho that now carries Proof eyewear. Barber Town Eye Care was founded on a dream and they hope to grow but without losing sight of their customer and keeping true to their character.
1. How long have you been in business?
We have been open since the last week of April 2015.
2. Number of locations?
One!
3. Give us a quick history about your store.
We are a small privately owned/independent optometry office and plan to stay that way. We hope to grow but not to the point of losing our personality or ability to accommodate the patient. Dr. William Schilling is a 20 year military veteran who returned to school at 40 to become an optometrist after leaving the service. His dream was to open a small optometry office and be his own boss. So far, he's on the right track. Dr. Schilling's one employee is Deanna Weber, she is new to Boise via the Tri-Cities of Central Washington State.
4. What are your most popular items?
Kate Spade Eyewear, but we've recently taken on Proof Eyewear and have high hopes for them to knock Kate Spade off her pedestal.
5. Where can we find you on your lunch break?
Sitting out back reading a book under a tree or in one of the fine eateries that surround us.
6. What song best describes your shop?
I can see clearly now: Johnny Nash
7. Who’s your employee of the month? Why?
Deanna Weber, she wins by default. Although in close contention are the frogs that wander in from time to time.
8. What’s your spirit animal?
Elephant: they have great minds and great minds think alike and they're loyal to one another.
9. Why is Proof a good fit in your store?
They are a homegrown Idaho company. All of their products are wood based and I named my office after an old saw mill... it seemed appropriate to carry a wood based frame line. And as a small Idaho company I like to support other small Idaho companies.
